Our Story

Friends of Tilly Jane Cabins was established in 2024 to care for the historic Tilly Jane A-Frame and Tilly Jane Guard Station, perched at 5,718 feet on Forest Service land on the north side of Mt. Hood. Our founding President and Vice President spent 14 years restoring and maintaining these cabins, and now a team has formed to preserve these historic buildings.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization in the state of Oregon. We are a 100% volunteer organization consisting of 5 Caretakers and 6 Board of Director members.

Together, we work to keep remote outdoor spaces accessible for anyone with a sense of adventure.
